This was requested by my church as a gift for one of our leaders. It was delivered filled with thank-you notes written by church members.
The lid is walnut with a dome shape carved into it with a gouge. The bottom piece is resawn from the same board as the lid. I don’t know the species of the wood for the sides, but it is spalted something-or-other a friend gave me.
